MSN down...
MSN down...
So sickening, the MSN has been down practically the whole day! I succeed in logging in for a while, then in less than 5 minute, I get logged off automatically! It's so irritating, especially when you are in the midst of an interesting conversation with your friends!!!
Feeling quite full and bloated from the pizza lunch -- a group of us ordered 2 big pizzas, 1 lasagne and some other finger food for lunch today. There are still a few pieces of leftover pizzas but I dun think I can bring myself to mouth down any more pizzas! I am looking forward to going home, I want to eat the apple and mango strudel at home. I haven't eaten it yet, cuz for the past 2 nights, I have been too bloated and full after dinner to have dessert! But the thought of the cold creamy strudels really makes me salivate! I have been having cravings for cold, creamy stuff lately, especially ice cream...

Tired & Bored...
Didn't really have a good nite's sleep..cuz the air-con leaked in the middle of the nite, and we had to switch it off. With only a fan, the room felt stuffy and hot and I couldn't really get to sleep for quite a while. To add to it, my little baby is very active at night -- maybe he felt the heat as well, haha, cuz he was kicking non-stop! I think our baby is quite a night owl, he is always kicking before I fall asleep and during the night when I wake up to pee. Probably he takes after his daddy, cuz Piggy is quite a night owl too! It's a good thing cuz when Jordan cries in the middle of the nite next time, Piggy can coax him to sleep..hahaha..

A yummy weekend...
We went to this ice cream shop called "Island Creamery" at this building called "Serene's House" on Saturday evening. The ice cream was simply fantastic!! To me, it's much better than haagan daz or any other branded ice cream. The flavours were also exotic like nutella, horlicks, etc. I had nutella and fresh strawberry and the strawberry was really fresh, with bits of real strawberries still in it. And best of all, it wasn't too sweet but was very creamy, just the way I like it!! Still salivating at the thought of it!!
Then we went to check out Labrador park, as Piggy and Seaweed had planned to take photos on that day, but due to the bad weather, we adjourned to West Coast Park, before proceeding to the Hill Top, which was somewhere at the top of Jurong Bird Park. There is this nice Teppanyaki and Indonesian food there, which was highly recommended by my SIL. Although we went there mainly to check out the sunset (which was nowhere insight due to the earlier rain and haze), the aroma of the nice-smelling food was enough to make our stomachs rumble. And it didn't help that it was approaching dinner time. We must definitely go there and eat one day!!!
Nevertheless, we had a delicious and sumptuous dinner as well-- the famous chicken rice at Margaret Drive Hawker centre, which was newly renovated. Actually, just the nite before, we were there, eating the "zu chao" and it was absolutely fabulous!! Now, back to the chicken rice, this has to be the best chicken rice I have ever eaten in Singapore!!! With the huge chunks of tender chicken and the yummy chilli sauce, I simply couldn't resist downing more than 1 plate of chicken rice! The portions were huge, probably cuz we ordered 1 whole chicken to share among the 4 of us and we were really lucky --ours was the last order before they ran out of chicken!!!
On Sunday, I had the nice nasi lemak near our place, which I really love, but have been eating less of it recently upon the gynae's advice. But Piggy was very nice yesterday, he said "once in a while is ok"..haha, so I ate the really nice nasi lemak with the really nice chicken wing!
That's not the end of the food saga..we had the famous claypot rice at the Beach Rd Hawker Centre for dinner! Although we had to wait close to 40 minutes for the food, it was great! This is probably one of the rare places, which still sells claypot cooked by charcoal.
Following that, Piggy & I rushed to Mothercare at Marina to buy our baby's stroller (cuz it was the last day for the uob credit card 15% off promo). After much consideration, we finally bought the Quinny Zapp ($399) complete with a infant carrier ($228) with 15% discount. I would say it's quite a good buy, considering that Baby Hyperstore was carrying it at $459, without discount and their infant car seats start from $230! Plus point was that the service was very good. The lady serving us (I think she was a philippino) was very very patient, cuz we could not decide between the buzz and the zapp, but she demonstrated again and again and allowed us to try them out for ourselves. Although I wanted to get the buzz initially, cuz it has 3 position inclination, but decided against it in the end cuz of the bulk and weight (12.2 kg). The zapp was much lighter at 7 kg and it could be folded up to the size of a tennis racket!!
Next on our list would be the baby cot. I m thinking of getting the one from Baby's kingdom, but I wanna buy the pretty bedsheets from Mothercare. I m glad that Piggy shares the same sentiments as me regarding the bedsheets, cuz he said he wouldn't want to buy those bedsheets from the Baby Hyperstore or Baby's kingdom, cuz the designs didn't look very nice and the quality of the material looks mediocre. I mean, if we ourselves know how to look at threadcounts and buy quality bedsheets for ourselves, what more for a baby? Their skin is definitely more delicate and sensitive, hence the material would definitely have to be of a certain quality. I wonder if the size of the bedsheets out there would fit if I were to get the cot from the Baby's kingdom. Will have to check it out, maybe this wkend...= )

This Crazy Itch!!!
I am itching like mad all over, especially on my tummy, arms, legs and even boobs!!! It really feels quite terrible cuz I keep wanting to scratch myself and the office is not exactly the best place to keep on scratching yourself, cuz I dun want some of those k-po colleagues to come and ask me what's wrong with me. Have tried applying stretchmark creams but it doesn't seem to lessen my itch!! I think I need to go and get calamine lotion, hopefully it will soothe my itchiness, cuz it's supposed to be cooling and refreshing. I hope it helps, I really almost cannot take it!!!!!

Baby Stuff...
Went to the baby fair at Metro over the wkend and bought the Avent Steriliser and the Avent Manual cum Electric breast pump. Each of them came in a set. For the Avent Steriliser, it was packaged with a Avent food warmer, wet wipes and some bottles, brushes, etc. while the breast pump was packaged together with a nipple cream and breast pads. Together, the 2 packages set us back by $454! Baby stuff sure aren't cheap but I m glad we got a good deal, with all the additional items.
Also saw the new Quinny Buzz at Mothercare yesterday and it was going for $999 (before 20% discount). It's probably the cheapest price I have seen around. Not sure why the price went up by so much for the new model. The older model was going for like $699 to $799, but not many places carry it for this price anymore. Anyway, the new model sure does look better, with all the nice vibrant colours (like orange, strawberry, lime green and black) and the cushion feels much softer and probably is more comfy for the baby. I really like this stroller cuz of the big wheels, I think it looks really steady and secure. Only thing is the weight, which is around 12 kg, but then I m pretty sure I won't lug a big stroller out by myself with the baby. I will probably use it only when Piggy is with me and driving. Otherwise, I will probably just use a baby sling (thinking of getting the MIM one -- it seems to be one of the most popular and good ones around).
These things aside, we still need to get the baby cot. Was at baby hyperstore and baby's kingdom the weekend before last and I saw this baby cot, which I really liked, cuz it's small and compact. However, as it's smaller than the usual baby cots, I m not sure if I can get those nice bedsheets at the shopping centres. Cuz I dun like the bedsheets they carry at the baby hyperstore and baby's kingdom --the designs look very dated and cheapo. I want to buy something nicer for our little baby, and this being our very first baby, of course, we want the best for him!
Jordan has been pretty active these days, kicking and moving about, especially after a meal. I think he really likes to eat, just like his daddy and mummy! Haha. I hope to be able to see these movements visible on my tummy soon!

Eating Right...
It really is terrible trying to watch your diet. You have to be disciplined not to snack unnecessarily and then when you do snack, you have to try to choose healthy options and we all know that healthy food dun taste nice most of the time!!!

I put on FOUR kg!!!!
I put on 4 kg at my last checkup!!! I never put on more than 3 kg in my previous checkups! Shucks, I got to watch my diet, lest I develop diabetes, and I certainly dun want that to happen, cuz otherwise, I would have to stick yucky needles into myself and oh, how much I hate needles and pain!!
Little Jordan is now abt 800 gm, Dr Wee says he is one week ahead of what he should be..meaning, he could be a big baby, just like my little piggy!!! I sure hope he inherited those dimples! Oh, and I love babies who are almost botak, they look so cute, cuz the scarcity of hair makes the face look even rounder!
We have bought lots of clothes for our little darling, up to 1 yrs old..haha.. Actually, I think baby gals have more variety when it comes to choice of clothes but baby boys look really cute in jumpers and caps! I wanna get the Osk Kosh (Piggy says it's "Oh Gosh!" cuz of the price!!!) jumper for our little baby, but it's quite expensive, it costs like $50 over at Taka, I will probably try to get it during the sale or something!
