First nite at new place
First nite at new place
Stayed over night for the first time at our new place. The place is still messy and needs lots of tidying up, but at least the curtains are up and all the furniture & electronic items have arrived. The bed felt really great, soft for my liking and I really slept soundly, except for the few occasions that I had to wake up to make my way to the toilet. I m really making more frequent trips to the toilet nowadays. I really hope the omazz mattress can "cure" all my backaches. It seemed to have healed my headache at least, the horrible headache which plagued me the entire weekend. I wonder if it's because I m not taking enough nutritious food.
Will be going for my blood test tmw evening, really feeling scared right now. I sure hope it will be a fast and painless affair and that the nurse assigned to me will be the merciful sort, who would take care not to inflict too much pain on a person like me, who has a really low threshold for pain. I do pray that the blood test will indicate that baby is doing well...I m honestly quite sick of the iron and calcium tablets and I hope I won't be made to down more medicine after the results are out...

Feeling Sick on a Friday
Why must I always feel this way on Fridays? Have a throbbing headache and a choked-up throat. My lunch seems to be stuck somewhere between my throat and my heart. I really feel like a choked up pipe. And the pain from the headache is so irritating that I just feel like plonking down on my bed and having a good sleep. Really looking forward to the end of the day, I hope the traffic won't be as jammed as it usually is. It's doubly irritating to be travelling home with a horrible headache and a stupid jam.
To add to the dreariness of the long afternoon before knock-off time, we have a meeting with our boss, supposedly scheduled at 230, but has been postponed to a later time cuz some good news (which doesn't really concern any of us personally)popped up and my boss got all excited and is putting up some memo to his boss. I m glad he is doing it himself, cuz I honestly dun feel as estatic as he is over the matter.

Peaceful Day
It's really quiet in the office today and I m loving it. Except for the scuffle that occured this morning with that damn "butch" from HR. Sometimes, I wonder why training courses should be under my department's perview. We are not HR, so logically thinking, why should we be responsible for meeting the numbers for each class? I can't be bothered. Was damn pissed off this morning but decided to just cool it and let things run its course. There are times when I think that my boss's job really isn't that tough, cuz half the time, he doesn't know what is going on and when he does, he only tells us to go solve the problem. Isn't that all very easy to do? But maybe that's the way all bosses work..sigh.
On a happier note, I m about 4 months this week and I think baby is doing well, though I haven't felt his kick yet! Was so delighted to know that it's a "he" and I can finally stop calling it "it". When Dr Wee was scanning the baby, I was still uncertain about whether we could tell the gender yet, cuz some people only knew it at their 5th month. But she was so funny, she scanned between the legs and asked piggy, "What do you see?" And Piggy replied "I see something familiar, it's a "cuckoo"!" I m really excited and happy to see baby growing bigger at every visit and at the last visit, he was kicking and moving his arms about so vigourously! It was so cute! I sure hope he will be a strong and active baby, just like my nephew, Josh.
Piggy has also been diligently making breakfast for me, cuz Dr Wee said I was putting on too much weight and not eating very nutritious food for breakfast. So I have ham and cheese sandwich packaged for me by my dear piggy every morning now. Heehee..
Piggy's cousin also bought our baby some baby clothes, which look so tiny and cute! And baby stuff really ain't cheap man. A little jumpsuit can cost like $59! I think we are going to spend a bomb on baby Jordan!

Resolutions for the New Yr
Guess I really should have written this post on the 31st Dec 06, so that at least I can start the new year right. But I think I kinda forgot about making resolutions for the new yr, altho I did make some wishes. Guess it's abit late but well, it's better late than never..Was suddenly reminded of it after reading Sron'z post on becoming a woman of style and substance..
Let me reflect on the past yr..2006 had been an eventful year for me, with many major happenings, events and changes. But I am glad to have gone through them, cuz I believe that in everything, God always has a purpose for us and I believe that the new yr will be a better year, that it shall be a year of prosperity, fullness and abundance.
I hope to be able to do the following in the new year:
1) Not to overeat & to try to choose healthier food for the sake of myself and baby.
2) To try to exercise maybe once a week (but I think I can start off with "once a month" and gradually work towards my target)
3) To keep weight gain to 1 kg a month and no more than that.
4) To try to be more interested in my work & put in more effort
5) To take up Yoga
6) To play the piano again (hope to do this after we shift everything to our new place cuz I think it will be therapeutically beneficial for the baby )
6) To learn to cook more dishes from the recipe book I have
7) To bake bread
8) Etc etc
Think there are loads more, but it's all I can think of at the moment...
