Good Friends, Good Food, Good Time
Good Friends, Good Food, Good Time
Met up with WS yesterday at Swenson and had a good time catching up. Seems like she is really stressed with her new job...sounds really tough and sometimes, hearing things like this makes me feel that I should really be thankful that my work environment is not that bad. At least, our time is not so tightly packed that we have no time to email, chat or surf internet and no matter how frustrated I may be with my boss sometimes, at least he is not a monster & is still understanding and fatherly at times..
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Went for facial today and did this chemical peel which costs me $95! I hope it's really going to make my skin better cuz the peel was quite torturous to endure. Each time she added the chemicals, my face stung like mad and now, it's still a little red. But according to the beautician, it's supposed to subside within 3 days and make my pores more refined. So during these 3 days, I am supposed to avoid too much sun and acidic products. What a lot of rules to follow...really hope my money has been well-spent..
Following that, I met up with WJ as we were meeting Eve & Cel later that evening and I was kinda stuck cuz I was already in cityhall where we were supposed to meet that evening and it would be silly to go back home & come back again to the same place, so I was glad that she could meet me. We went to Gelare and shared this nice big waffle with 2 yummy scoops of ice-cream. It was good catching up and sharing our problems, worries and uncertainities about the future because somehow, life is never all that perfect and somehow as gals, there seem to always be more things that we worry and think about than guys...
Then we met up with Eve & Cel and proceeded to this restaurant called "Changing Appetite" at Marina Sq. The queue was super long but I am glad to say that the food was worth the queue and price. The service was not bad either cuz the waitresses kept refilling our drinks..haha..I think I have this thing about waitresses or waiters not refilling drinks promptly and it seems to be a very important factor to me when I rate the service of a place...
As usual, we had a good time catching up and sharing about our lives. Cel is getting married soon so there were lots of things to talk about too. How time flies, it seems only yesterday that we were talking about projects and exams, now we are talking about marriage and relationships and as WJ aptly put it, very soon, we would be talking about family and kids and other stuff.
Cel said they didn't want kids immdediately after marriage and she was talking about ways to prevent pregnancy. For me, I guess it's the opposite cuz I have always hoped it won't be too difficult to get pregnant cuz I feel that a family won't be complete without children and I guess that's what brings meaning and joy to the family. But it was useful to hear what she had to say cuz I guess that since we are in opposite positions, whatever she is trying to do would be what I would not want to do..haha..
