Had a great and activity-packed day!
Had a great and activity-packed day!
Woke up early this morning to wash Piggy's car...was good exercise, and thanks to susan, we got the job done in 1 hr! Then we headed for the Pan Pac Wedding Show! We were slightly delayed cuz the ECP was massively jammed, the cars were barely moving, inching forward little by little until we realised that there was an accident near Fort Rd. Apparently, a motorcylist had collided with a big lorry and when we drove past, we saw a body covered under white sheets...think it must have been a fatal accident...
Hmm...the Pan Pac Wedding Show was impressive man...at least much more than the Grand Copthorne one...maybe that's why we paid $38 instead of $22! We had a 5-course lunch, which was absolutely delicious...we had cold dish (the usual 1st dish at wedding dinners and this was special cuz there was sushi inside), sharks' fins (this was really good, the ingredients were genuine and you could really taste it, not those watery kind), roasted chicken, fried rice (special too cuz there was pork floss added to it and nice ingredients inside) and mango sago as dessert!! The good thing was that there were only 4 people in our table of 6, which meant that we could eat more than we could but of course, we didn't overeat too, but think that if piggy was there with us this afternoon, he would have been very happy, so much food to eat! There was also a wide array of wedding gowns being paraded, more than 60!! Had a great time and feel quite happy to have chosen Pan Pac, except that we didn't win the lucky draw!! Then we went up to view the bridal suite..I rather like the view of the surroundings as we took the glass elevator up!!
Also bought a pair of wedding bears from the show for only $16. The supplier said they usually sell it for $30 and the shops outside were carrying it for about $70!! Dunno if it was true, but thought it was a pretty good deal!!
Following that, went to Challenger at Tampines to help Piggy get the gaming mouse he wanted..was quite amazed, didn't know there are mouses specially for gaming! Bought piggy his long-awaited game (Dragonshard) too!! Hope he will enjoy playing it, I know he has been wanting to buy it for some time already..heehee..
Then we went to Carrefoure to shop with apple. She bought 2 cans of abalone for $180 ($90 each)!! Wow, I have never bought such expensive canned good in my life!! It must be some quality food!
We had another feast for dinner today..went to 'Qun Zhong' near to Chinatown..ordered Chinese pizza, 'tang pao', 'guo tie' and 'suan la mian'...it was yummy, wish piggy is here to share it with us, he will surely love it!!
